Mission and Objectives Propagation of an open and standardised approach for the municipal management of road infrastructure. This especially concerns the exchange of data between different responsible organizations or administrative units equipped with a wide variety of data bases and business applications.
Mandate KIM Straße e.V. is an officially registered, non-profit association of German municipal administration bodies, federal and national institutions, and software vendors and users concerned with the management of road networks and infrastructure. The association is open to all parties taking interest in the mission of KIM-Strasse

Main Activities The continuing development and revision of the IT-standard “OKSTRA kommunal” for the exchange of infrastructure data, together with the publication of related best practice examples. OKSTRA kommunal defines an application schema for geographic information based on the ISO 191xx series.
