Details
Mission and Objectives ”Cadastre INSPIREd!” is the title of a new joint project of Eurogeographics and the Permanent Committee of Cadastre of the EU (PCC). The main focus is to investigate INSPIRE themes of Annex II and III which are relevant for the cadastre e.g. land cover, buildings, etc. The objective of the project is a classification of the importance and relevance of cadastral information to these themes, including a SWOT analysis, and to contribute to the development of the INSPIRE- Data specifications. Our early involvement in the coming processes will we believe be for the benefit of all stakeholders. Regarding the “Call for Expression of Interest for participation in development of INSPIRE Data Specification for Annex II and III” of the INSPIRE consolidation team it is intended that this project will register as an SDIC and participate by providing reference materials and support the specification experts. Based on the successful results of the former “WG-CPI” project “Role of the cadastral parcel in INSPIRE”,the final report was a main reference document for the INSPIRE data specification for cadastral parcels. Our project will take a similar approach with an additional survey in the Member States providing the input and for the following INSPIRE processes to underpin the role of the cadastral parcel as an essential element in national and the European Spatial Data Infrastructure (ESDI). A main component of the work plan of the project “Cadastre INSPIREd!” focuses on discussions with relevant stakeholders of the European Commission, in particular Allessandro Annoni from EC-JRC, Danielle Rizzi from EC-Eurostat, Hans Dufourmont from the EC-GMES Bureau and Chris Steenmans from EEA.
