Formal Mandate YLORIKI is registered to Ministry of Environment and Public Works, Studies Service of Greece and is authorised to provide environmental services. Yloriki except others produces thematic maps mainly concerning forests, biotopes, landscapes, wetlands or private lands.
Additionally estimates wood production and availability, measures forested areas, calculates statistical data, promotes Greek ecosystems sustainable management and finally evaluates indicators.
YLORIKI’s power point is the natural environment and forest heritage protection, by ensuring the role of forests and forestry in soil protection, erosion control, water regulation, improvement of air quality, carbon sequestration, mitigation of and adaptation to climate change effects, conservation of biodiversity and the restoration of damaged forests. The protection of forests against biotic and abiotic factors; the improvement of ecological, economic and socially sustainable forest management within the framework of the internal market, and in line with the Union's international obligations; assuring the competitiveness of the forest based industries.

Main Activities YLORIKI’s activities include Sustainable Forest Management, Forest Wood production estimation and Biomass calculation, Phytoremediation systems of contaminated lands,
GIS and CAD applications, remote sensing, photogrammetry, natural risks management studies and vulnerability assessments(forest fires, desertification, mountainous torrents), database analysis, scenario construction, socio-economic impacts assessment, immediateness communication with stakeholders, advisory services to local societies and land owners.
