Formal Mandate The Minister of the Environment on the 17th November 2011 gave the Environmental Information Centre new tasks, including be a contact point for the Ministry of the Environment Council on Infrastructure for Spatial Information and other units of INSPIRE, cooperation with the National Coordinator and the National Council of SIP and the leading bodies of INSPIRE, also developing strategies of create, maintain and develop infrastructure for spatial information department of the environment.
Main Activities The support for units of the Ministry of Environment will consist on coordination of work on spatial data themes, which are the responsibility of leading bodies: Minister of the Environment, Chief National Geologist, Chief Nature Conservator, Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection, The President of the National Water Management Authority:

Previous Experience relevant for INSPIRE development In December 2011 we started work on setting up an internal Working Group for INSPIRE and the INSPIRE contact point in the Ministry of Environment. Director of the EIC in December 2011, attended a meeting of the INSPIRE Committee in Brussels for a summary of test specifications for spatial data themes listed in Annex II and III of the INSPIRE directive. Implemented (12.2011) trial version for Web Catalog Serwice consistent with the requirements of INSPIRE, realized through the catalog metadata. Implemented (12.2011) a trial version of Web Map Sevice consistent with the requirements of INSPIRE, the browser realized by mapping. Preparatory Action has been taken for the implementation (in accordance with the roadmap INSPIRE) trial version of Web Feature Service and Web Coverage Service, in accordance with the requirements of the INSPIRE.
