Main Activities Le Conseil national de l'information géographique, placé auprès du ministre chargé du développement durable, a pour mission d'éclairer le Gouvernement dans le domaine de l'information géographique, notamment pour ce qui concerne la coordination des contributions des acteurs concernés et l'amélioration des interfaces entre ces derniers. Il prend en compte les besoins exprimés et en particulier les besoins des utilisateurs. Il peut formuler des avis sur toute question relative à l'information géographique.
Le conseil constitue la structure de coordination nationale prévue aux articles 18 et 19.2 de la directive 2007/2/CE.
The National Council for Geographic Information, under the authority of the Minister of Sustainable Development, is to inform the Government in the field of geographic information, particularly regarding the coordination of inputs from stakeholders and the improved interfaces between them. It takes into account the needs expressed and in particular the needs of users. It can advise on all matters relating to geographic information.
The council is the national coordination structure under sections 18 and 19.2 of Directive 2007/2/EC.
