Call for Expression of Interest for participation in development of INSPIRE data specifications for Annex II & III Data Themes launched

The Call is addressed to the INSPIRE Spatial Data Interest Communities (SDICs) and Legally Mandated Organisations (LMOs). The Commission is seeking voluntary contributions of SDICs and LMOs, asking them to propose experts (domain experts, Facilitators, Editors) for the Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) and reference materials to be taken into consideration for the data specifications.

We recommend that you carefully read the following documents before responding to this call.

SDICs and LMOs can participate by logging in and completing the required forms.

The closing date is the 14th December 2009 for candidate experts

INSPIRE Network Services Regulation adopted (Discovery and View )

The INSPIRE Discovery and View Services Regulation (EC 976/2009) was adopted by the commission on the 19 October 2009. The regulation has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, OJ number L 274 Volume 52 20 October 2009 and shall enter into force on the 20th day following its publication (article (5)). INSPIRE Network Services - Transformation Service

The Network Drafting Team has finalised the next version of their proposal for the Transformation service Implementing Rules and the accompanying Technical Guidelines for the coordinate transformation. They have been updated taking into account the comments received from The SDIC and LMO with the comments recorded in the separate document.

The Draft Legislation for the Transformation Network Service is currently being prepared by the European Commission for submission to the INSPIRE Committee.

The Draft Implementing Rules, the Technical Guidelines and the comments resolution document are now publicly available.
