The Swedish Model for Data and Service Sharing with EU.

Naima Almström

(Submission #33)

Short Summary (will be published on INSPIRE Conference website)

In its role as Geodata Coordinator, the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authority, Lantmäteriet, has created a model for data and service sharing agreement, between on one hand a Swedish Public Authority (with information responsibility) and on the other hand organs of EU or Public Authorities in other Member States. The purpose with this model is to facilitate for both the Public Authorities in Sweden, the organs of EU and for the Public Authorities in other Member States. The model is built on the idea of a Power of Attorney. It is a recently released model, but already a few Public Authorities are interested in using it, and hopefully there are more at the time for the INSPIRE Conference. I will also talk shortly about how this is regulated in the Swedish law and what kind of licences Lantmäteriet has created for this purpose.
