Formal Mandate	The National Land Survey is responsible for Finland's cadastral system and mapping. One of the tasks of the NLS is the promotion of shared use of geographic information.
Main Activities	NLS produces and provides information on and services in real estate, topography and enviroment. NLS is active internationally, e.g. in many European wide GI-projects and in Global Spatial Data Infrastructure (GSDI) Association. NLS coordinates the production of EuroGlobalMap database, which covers 35 European countries.
